Full product journey Multi-platform build

Digital Product Development

We design, build, and evolve software products across web, mobile, desktop, and embedded platforms. Whether you're starting with a first MVP or growing a mature platform, we take responsibility for the full product journey, from architecture and development through long-term evolution.

When This Makes Sense

We take on product builds at every stage, whether you're starting from an idea, scaling something that's live, or modernizing software that's ready for the next step.

01

You're building a new product or MVP.

You have a product vision and want a team that can take it from architecture through to launch. We handle the technical decisions, the build, and the path to getting something real in front of users.

02

You need to scale or evolve a live product.

Your product is in market and the roadmap calls for new features, performance work, or architectural changes to support growth. We build on what's there and keep it moving forward.

03

Spreadsheets or off-the-shelf tools no longer fit.

Your workflows have grown specific enough that custom software now fits the way you work better than generic tools. We build systems designed around your actual processes.

04

Existing software is ready for modernization.

An older system is due for refactoring or an architectural step up so it can keep pace with where the business is heading. We assess it, map the path forward, and execute while keeping what works running.

What We Build

We design and build software products across a wide range of platforms and technical requirements. Depending on the use case, a product may run on the web, on mobile, on the desktop, with embedded components, or across several of these together.

Starting Something New

Proof of Concept and Feasibility

You have an idea and want to know it's technically viable before committing to a full build. We validate the assumptions and test the hard parts early, so you come away with a clear answer and a path forward.

MVP and Product Discovery

You know what you want and want to reach a working product quickly. We help define what to build first and ship something real you can put in front of users.

AI-Native Product Development

You're building a product where AI is central to how it works from the start. We design and build around models, agents, and intelligent automation as the foundation.

Building and Scaling Across Platforms

Web Application Development

From straightforward tools to data-heavy platforms, we build web applications that perform and hold up as they grow.

Mobile Application Development

Native iOS and Android, or cross-platform where it fits. We build mobile apps that feel right on each platform and work reliably in real conditions.

Desktop and Performance-Critical Software

Some products run on the desktop for performance or hardware integration. We build desktop applications that are fast, stable, and suited to professional use.

Industry-Specific Platforms

Fields like fintech, logistics, healthcare, and insurance carry their own rules and workflows. We build platforms that fit the domain and handle its compliance requirements.

IoT and Connected Products

Connected products coordinate across hardware, software, and connectivity layers. We build the software side, from device communication to the applications that tie everything together.

Modernizing and Extending What You Have

Legacy System Modernization

We assess an aging system, map the best path forward, and execute while keeping what already works running. The result moves you to a modern architecture at a safe pace.

Adding AI to Existing Products

You have a working product and want it to do more. We identify where AI adds real value and build those capabilities into the product.

API Design and System Integration

Products rarely work in isolation. We design clean APIs and connect the systems that need to talk to each other.

Internal Tools and Operational Systems

When generic tools stop scaling, purpose-built software fits better. We build internal systems around the way your team actually works.

How We Work

Every product build follows our FLOW process. We settle the goals and architecture up front, so development runs on a clear plan you can steer as the product takes shape.

01
Foundations

Understand the goal and set the direction.

We start by understanding your goals, users, and constraints, then define the technical approach, surface the risks, and agree on a roadmap. You begin with a clear picture of what we're building and why.

02
Layout

Architect the system and plan the build.

We design the architecture and the product experience, choose the technology, and lay out the first deliverables. The shape of the product and the order of the work are clear before development begins.

03
Output

Build and ship in working increments.

We develop in short cycles with regular demos, so you see working software often and can adjust priorities as you learn. Each cycle ends with something real you can use and react to.

04
Widen

Launch, then grow the product.

We handle deployment, monitoring, and the work to get the product live, then keep improving performance and adding capability as the business grows. The product evolves with you over the long term.

How Our Project Managers Think

Every project manager came up writing code. Here's how that shapes the way they run your delivery.

"I put a lot of emphasis on communication and transparency. Remote teams can work extremely well, but only if information flows freely and problems are raised early. I want the client to understand where we are, why we're making certain decisions, and what risks we see. That's how you build trust over time."

"I want our clients to understand not only what we are doing, but why we are doing it, what trade-offs are involved, and where we see potential risks. My role is to bridge the gap between business and technology, make sure problems are addressed at their root cause, and help the team deliver solutions that remain reliable well beyond the immediate requirement."

Common Questions

What does a typical product engagement look like?

We start with discovery to align on your goals, users, and constraints, then move into architecture and planning, and from there into building in short cycles with regular demos. After launch we keep evolving the product as your business grows. This is our FLOW approach applied to a product build.

Can we start with a discovery or proof of concept before committing to a full build?

Yes, and many clients do. A focused discovery or proof of concept lets you validate the technical approach and the value first, and the work carries straight into development if you decide to continue.

How do you choose the technology stack?

Often we choose the stack to fit your needs and where the product is heading, weighing performance, maintainability, hiring, and long-term support so the choice still makes sense years from now. When you already have a stack in place or a preference of your own, we work within it, and we'll tell you if we see a tradeoff worth knowing about.

What happens after launch?

After launch, you decide how involved we stay. That can mean monitoring performance, resolving issues, and adding capability as your roadmap and your users evolve, or a lighter role once things are stable. You own the code and the knowledge to run it, so if you'd rather continue in-house, you can, and we'll help hand things over cleanly.

What if our requirements change as we build?

That's expected on a product build. We work in short cycles, so you can adjust priorities as you learn what works, and your project manager reshapes the plan around the change.

How experienced are your developers?

Most of our developers are mid to senior level, with the average developer staying at SBP for over four years. That tenure matters: you get people who've shipped production software across many projects and industries, not juniors learning on your time.

Where are you based?

Our development team is based in Bucharest, Romania, and we have a sales office in Amsterdam. Bucharest sits in the Eastern European time zone, so you get full working-hour overlap with the rest of Europe and overlap with US East Coast mornings. We schedule calls and reviews around your hours, wherever you're based.

How do we communicate and stay aligned?

Your project manager is your single point of contact. Most clients prefer regular calls and async updates via Slack or email, but we adapt to how you work. You'll also get progress reports and deliverable reviews.

How do you handle IP and confidentiality?

We sign NDAs as standard practice. All work product belongs to you. Our ISO/IEC 27001 certification means information security is managed through a formal, audited framework.

How is this different from your augmentation and end-to-end team options?

With product development, we take responsibility for the product itself, from architecture through launch and evolution, and deliver an outcome. With augmentation, you add our developers to your existing team and set the direction yourself. With an end-to-end team, we run an ongoing development function for you across whatever your roadmap holds. The right fit depends on whether you want a product delivered, extra capacity, or a standing team.
